# Introduction

Adding an e-mail identity as a verified sender as is easy as submitting your e-mail address and clicking on the link we'll send to it.

# Create sender

To start the process of verifying an e-mail address click on Senders in the navigation menu on the left and then click on the Create Sender button in the top right corner of the page.

Next enter your e-mail address and click Create. The address will be added to the list of senders with a status of unverified.

In a few minutes you’ll receive an email with a link to verify that you own the e-mail address. Once complete the address will have its status changed to verified.

Confirming an e-mail identity will gracefully restart any running (Mautic) instances, so that the address becomes available within them.
